The rules since 2021

Good to know!
Know exactly where the stickers should be mounted on the vehicles, as incorrectly placed stickers can also result in a fine.
Trucks and Tractors
For both trucks and tractors, it is mandatory to apply blind spot stickers on both sides and also on the rear. It's important that the stickers on the sides are placed on the front part of the vehicle. The correct height is between 0.9 and 1.5 meters from the ground. On the rear of the truck or tractor, the sticker should be applied on the right side. Again, the sticker should be placed at a height between 0.9 and 1.5 meters from the ground.
Trailers and Semi-Trailers
Trailers and semi-trailers also need to be equipped with blind spot stickers. On the rear, the sticker should be applied on the right side, similar to trucks and tractors, at a height between 0.9 and 1.5 meters. Additionally, stickers should also be applied on each side. On the bodywork, this should be done within the first meter (at a height of 0.9 - 1.5 meters). For semi-trailers, stickers should be applied on both sides within the first meter behind the coupling head (at a height of 0.9 - 1.5 meters).
Traveling to France with a Camper?
Planning to travel to France this summer with a camper? Don't forget about the blind spot stickers! Blind spot warning stickers are mandatory for all trucks, combinations, and coaches weighing over 3.5 tons, which likely includes your camper.
We have specially designed Bus stickers for these vehicles.
Exceptions to the blind spot rule
There are some exceptions to the rule. This applies to vehicles where it is technically impossible to apply the stickers in the prescribed locations on the vehicle. In this case, the stickers must be applied at the nearest height possible, as long as it falls within the 2.10-meter limit.
Some examples of vehicles where the stickers may be applied in other locations include car transporters, trailer tractors, container chassis, flatbed vehicles, tanker vehicles, adjustable arms for dump trucks, and dollies. These vehicles cannot have the markings applied at the rear, so the sticker may be applied in a location compatible with the characteristics of the vehicle.
Vehicles where it is structurally impossible to apply the stickers on the side and/or rear are exempt from the blind spot sticker requirement.
This variant is specifically designed for trucks. If you're looking for stickers for buses, you can find them here: Bus stickers
These warning stickers are made of polymer material finished with an extra glossy laminate. Due to the additional laminate layer, the stickers are extra scratch- and weather-resistant, making them suitable for outdoor use on vehicles.
These blind spot stickers are 17 centimeters wide and 25 centimeters high (17 x 25 cm, w x h), and are finished with rounded corners. You can order the stickers starting from 1 piece.
If you don't only drive in France and prefer a non-permanent solution, you can also order the warning stickers on magnetic material from us. You can find the variant for trucks here, and the variant for buses here.
Spain
As there is still no EU rule requiring a blind spot sticker in all 27 member states, countries are taking their own initiatives for the time being. France started this on January 1, 2021, and Germany is also working on similar stickers. Spain will be the third EU country with a blind spot sticker, but like in Germany, it's not yet mandatory.
The Spanish blind spot stickers can be ordered here.
