This variant of this product is printed on magnet material. You can therefore remove the magnetic plates from the vehicles if you do not drive in France and prefer not to have permanent stickers on the vehicle. Just like the normal sticker variants of these warning stickers, these magnetic plates are 17 centimeters wide and 25 centimeters high and finished with rounded corners.
We use the recommended dimensions of 25 cm height x 17 cm width. According to traffic rule R 313-32-1, a number of color references are specified. We adhere to the CMYK values indicated here.
The magnetic stickers can only be mounted on iron or steel surfaces, so for warning stickers on aluminum or plastic surfaces you need a normal sticker with an adhesive layer.
As of January 1, traffic rule R 313-32-1 has been included in the French highway code as an official traffic rule. The fines for non-compliance with this rule fall into Class 4 (minimum 90 euros). So avoid fines and order your magnetic plates quickly.
It is important to place the magnetic plates in the right places on the vehicle, as a number of guidelines have been drawn up for this.
For trucks and tractors, the magnetic stickers must be applied on both sides of the vehicle and at the rear. On both sides, the plates must be fitted within the first meter of the vehicle, at a height of between 0.9 and 1.5 meters measured from the ground. At the rear of the truck or tractor, the magnet must be mounted on the right side. Here too, the sticker must be applied at a height of between 0.9 and 1.5 meters from the ground.
Warnings must also be affixed to trailers and semi-trailers. On the rear, the marking must be placed on the right side at a height of between 0.9 and 1.5 metres, just like on trucks and tractors. In addition, the warnings must also be placed on each side. On the bodywork, this must be done within the first meter (at a height of 0.9 - 1.5 metres). For the semi-trailers, the stickers must be applied on both sides within the first meter behind the fifth wheel (at a height of 0.9 - 1.5 metres). It is important to take into account the surface of the semi-trailer or trailer. If it has a different surface, for example canvas, than the rest of the vehicle, you can only stick standard stickers on these parts.
There are exceptions to every rule, including this one. The exceptions apply to vehicles where it is technically impossible to affix the stickers to the prescribed locations on the vehicle. In this case, the decals should be placed at the closest height possible, as long as it falls within the 2.10 meter limit.
Some examples of vehicles where the stickers may be applied in other places are car transporters, tractors for semi-trailers, container chassis, platform vehicles, tank vehicles, adjustable arms for dump trucks and dollies. With these vehicles it may be impossible to place the markings in the prescribed places on the rear of the vehicle. If this is the case, the magnetic sticker may be placed in a position that is compatible with the characteristics of the vehicle.
Vehicles where it is structurally impossible to affix the stickers to the side and/or rear are exempt from the blind spot sticker regulation.
