Applying 3D foil

Supplies:

• Interior foil
• Squeegee or lath
• Sharp cutting knife
• Cleaning agent or all-purpose cleaner
• Cloth
• Bucket of water
• Hair dryer (for 3D deformations)

Confirmation

1. Clean the surface thoroughly by adding a little detergent or all-purpose cleaner to the bucket of water
2. Dry the surface thoroughly with care
3. Cut the interior foil to size (ensure at least 5 cm overlap on all sides)
4. Stick the foil onto the surface from the top (take advantage of the 5 cm overlap)
5. Press the foil firmly
6. Gently pull away the plastic film
7. Press the foil gently
8. Smooth out the air bubbles with a lath or squeegee (always work from the inside out)
9. Press the foil firmly into the corners and edges
10. For 3D deformations, heat with a hairdryer to a maximum of 90 degrees Celsius. This allows you to blow-dry the foil to "dead" so that it stays in its new shape.
11. Place your squeegee or lath against the edge of the surface and use it to slowly cut away the overlap (use a new blade for each side)

Please note: Only remove the foil from the tube once you are actually going to stick! Have you removed the foil earlier and put it aside because you want to stick it later? Air tunnels can then form in the foil that no longer disappear.

Damaged, already glued or cut foils cannot be returned
