Camera Surveillance Act of 21 March 2007
This camera law 2007 was adopted on 21 March 2007 and describes the arrangement of placement and use of surveillance cameras. The purpose of this act is to provide a clear and legal framework for the processing of images for surveillance purposes, thereby reconciling the security needs of citizens and the privacy of citizens.
This Act stipulates that the placement officer must provide information by means of an icon and accompanying information (see sticker) indicating the presence of the camera surveillance. These stickers must be announced visibly in the immediate vicinity of the guarded places. The citizen must be clearly informed before entering the site.
